under construction: summer k-12 project

This summer project includes a brand new Microbiology classroom, a College Counseling space with new built-in guidance desk, and a Production Studio where students host the morning announcements. With school starting in a few short weeks, I worked closely with manufacturer reps to ensure materials were in stock and ready to arrive on time. Special thanks to Interface (carpet), Nora (rubber flooring), and FilzFelt (acoustic felt) for their extra speedy assistance in making this project a success! Completed project photos coming soon…

process: using watercolor

Let’s talk process. When I develop a palette for a client, I often envision colors and patterns even before I start to look at physical finishes. I like to meditate on that instinct with watercolor. I can mix the perfect shades and let my hand translate my mind’s image. As I swap paints, fabrics, tile samples, flooring, metals, I always refer back to my watercolor vision to keep the progress on track.
